Pune Gas Opens Its 10th Experience Centre in Mangaluru, Bringing Gas Efficiency Solutions to Coastal Karnataka

Pune Gas, one of India’s leading providers of commercial and industrial gas systems, has launched its 10th Experience Centre in Mangaluru, Karnataka. Its second centre in Karnataka, following Bengaluru, will bring the company’s portfolio of gas efficiency, safety and precision-engineered solutions closer to businesses across Dakshina Kannada and the wider coastal Karnataka region.

The Pune Gas Mangaluru Experience Center was formally unveiled by Shri D. Vedavyasa Kamath, Hon’ble Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, Mangaluru City South, and Shri S. Mukund Kamath, CMD, Ideal Ice Cream, in the esteemed presence of senior representatives from the oil and gas industry, including Mr. Sandeep Kumar Raina, LPG Territory Manager, BPCL, Mangaluru; Mr. Darshit Malviya, Manager – Sales, BPCL, Mangaluru; and Ms. Lakshmi M, CRM, HPCL, along with other distinguished dignitaries from the wider industry. The centre will be led locally by franchise partners Mrs. Vindya Pai and Mr. Nithyanand Pai, with support from Pune Gas’s technical and leadership teams.

Mangaluru and Dakshina Kannada have a diverse business ecosystem spanning restaurants and hospitality, seafood and marine products, cashew and food processing, chemicals, petrochemicals, fertilisers, manufacturing and other industrial activities. The region is also home to industrial areas such as Baikampady, Yeyyadi, Ganjimutt and Karnad. Businesses across these sectors depend on efficient and reliable energy systems for commercial kitchens, process heating and other operational requirements. This concentration of gas-dependent businesses makes Mangaluru and the surrounding region an important market for Pune Gas as it expands its presence in Karnataka.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has identified seafood and cashew as potential export products under Dakshina Kannada’s District Export Hub designation. Karnataka Tourism also highlights the Mangaluru–Udupi region’s distinctive seafood and coastal cuisine. Efficient LPG systems can help businesses across these sectors optimise operations, minimise fuel wastage and reduce operating costs, contributing to improved cost efficiency and profit margins.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Jesal Sampat, Executive Director and CEO, Pune Gas, said, “Improving energy efficiency is essential to helping businesses manage operating costs and enhance operational performance. Mangaluru and coastal Karnataka present an important opportunity for us to bring our engineering expertise closer to Dakshina Kannada’s diverse and growing business community. Our solutions are already helping businesses save nearly ₹1,400 crore annually by addressing fuel inefficiencies and we see significant potential to build on this as we expand our presence across the region. Our 10th Experience Centre will further strengthen this effort by making efficient gas technologies and technical expertise more accessible to businesses across Karnataka.”

Mr Nithyananda Pai, Pune Gas Mangaluru Franchise Partner, said, “Under typical operating conditions, Karnataka’s daily commercial LPG demand is approximately 850 metric tonnes, equivalent to around 44,000 commercial LPG cylinders per day. This highlights the opportunity to help businesses improve LPG efficiency across their operations. With Pune Gas’s systems, we aim to help businesses across the region optimise LPG usage, minimise fuel wastage and achieve tangible cost savings.”

Inside the Mangaluru Experience Centre

The Mangaluru Experience Centre offers commercial and industrial establishments a hands-on introduction to advanced gas systems designed to improve efficiency, enhance safety and support sustainability goals. Among the highlights are:

  • Dry-type LPG vaporizer: Featuring patented, Made-in-India technology, the dry-type LPG vaporizer converts liquid LPG into gas for commercial and industrial applications. It supports dependable vaporisation, with system sizing tailored to the requirements of each application.
  • LPGenius Smart LPG Systems: Touted as the world’s first Smart LPG System, LPGenius is an integrated solution designed to improve LPG utilisation and ensure consistent operations. It addresses challenges such as cylinder freezing and sweating and works with LOT (Liquid Off-Take) 47.5 kg cylinders, offering an alternative to conventional 19 kg cylinder configurations. The system can deliver 20–30% savings on LPG costs, making it a potential solution for businesses seeking to improve energy efficiency and manage operating expenses.
  • FuelFusion: This dual-fuel system enables compatible diesel gensets to run on a combination of diesel and LPG, reducing diesel consumption without requiring expensive retrofitting. Depending on operating conditions and system compatibility, FuelFusion can reduce diesel consumption by up to 70%. By enabling the use of gas alongside diesel, the system can also help reduce emissions and support the adoption of cleaner energy alternatives.
  • LeakCheck and Handheld Sniffer: LeakCheck is a gas leak detection system designed for commercial and industrial applications. Alongside the handheld Sniffer, it helps identify potential gas leaks, enabling users to take timely action and strengthen safety practices.
  • GasTrain Pressure Regulation Systems: These precision-engineered systems regulate gas pressure according to equipment and process requirements, supporting controlled and consistent gas delivery across commercial and industrial operations.
  • Gas Parts and Consumables: Availability of parts and consumables for commercial and industrial LPG and natural gas infrastructure, along with technical guidance to help businesses identify components suited to their operational requirements.
