ELANTAS Beck India, a leading provider of electrical insulation and electronic protection solutions, today announced the strengthening of its specialty chemicals capabilities for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) applications, supporting the evolving needs of India’s energy storage ecosystem.
The company is strengthening its engagement with BESS manufacturers, component suppliers and OEMs in India by bringing together relevant material technologies, local application expertise and customer focused development support across critical energy-storage subsystems with selected locally manufactured materials, supported by access to ELANTAS’ wider global technology portfolio and local application expertise. The growing deployment of renewable energy, together with the need for grid flexibility, reliable backup power and more resilient energy infrastructure, is increasing the relevance of battery energy storage in India.
As BESS manufacturing localises, materials and technologies supporting the wider system also need to be increasingly available locally. Manufacturers also require specialised materials that can manage heat, protect sensitive electronics, and provide reliable bonding, insulation and environmental protection across the system. These requirements play an important role in the performance, reliability, and safety of BESS installations over their operating life.
ELANTAS brings decades of experience in developing specialty chemicals for demanding electrical and electronic applications to address these requirements. Its BESS capabilities span thermally conductive adhesives, thermal interface materials, conformal coatings, and potting and encapsulation materials.
